2006 was a busy year, including the arrival of Dylan, Mike and Emily's grandson. He was born on August 11, their father's birthdays. Emily wrote monthly spiritual columns for the international newspaper, Episcopal Life, and several articles won first place in a contest. In June she attended The Order of St. Luke national conference in San Antonio. Mike Endicott from Wales gave delightful and inspiring talks. At The Celebration of Celtic Spirituality Conference in Cuchara, Colorado, Emily gave a talk on Celtic Spirituality and the similarities of Native American Indians and the early Celts. In November she attended a Celtic retreat at MO Ranch in the Texas Hill Country. J. Phillip Newell was the leader. This past year several poems and articles have been published. Two of Emily's short stories were accepted for publication in collections.
