Introducing Emily Tipton Williams
Mike and Emily
Emily is a freelance writer who loves to travel to England and Wales from her home in Fort Worth, Texas. In 1995 Emily graduated from the Anglican School of Theology, Dallas, Texas, with a degree in Spiritual Theology and Direction. She is active as a lay minister in the Episcopal Church, a spiritual director, a Stephen Minister and is involved in nursing home and hospital ministry. Emily also served for four years on The Board of Trustees for the Anglican School of Theology She has facilitated quiet days in the metroplex area, Kansas and Maryland for the past several years. Emily attended Texas Christian University and The University of Texas, Austin, and received her Bachelor of Music degree in 1963. She was a member of the Oklahoma City Symphony, the Corpus Christi Symphony, and the Fort Worth Symphony orchestras. She taught music in the Irving and Fort Worth public schools along with private violin instruction. She continues to perform with Fort Worth area music organizations. Writing credits include stories published in The Fort Worth Star Telegram and Sharing Magazine. Recently Emily won first place in the Oklahoma Writer’s Federation Contest for her children’s picture book, Maisy The Daisy. Her short stories have won numerous awards and she is preparing a collection for publication in the near future. Emily wins 1st Place. Emily enjoys spending time with her husband, Mike, a retired American Airlines Pilot, at their cabin in Cuchara, Colorado. They share five children and four grandchildren.
